Green IT

Green IT refers to the proper utilization and use of the Information Technology in a proper way with the eco friendly and environmentally responsible manner. The article talks about the green IT with more emphasis on the energy consumption within the various IT sectors. The development of the world today is going in pace with the increase in IT facilities around. 
The articles show the observations done on the company for a certain period of time which showed the energy consumption for that period. The wastage of energy and power unnecessarily when the building was unoccupied is one of the scenarios shown here. The use of the PC and the IT requirement s more efficiently in an effective for saving energy is required to be implemented. The control in energy consumption with the awareness amongst all people will surely help to make the purpose of Green IT successful decreasing the global emission of the carbon dioxide which has contributed degrading our environmental condition. We can contribute to implement the action plan for Green IT with the energy saving procedures as we can switch off at the plugs of the equipments when not in use which will also enhance low electricity bills which ultimately enhances the power management.
 It is important to employ power management feature which will not only stop the wastage of energy but also enhance the eco friendly environment which supports the Green IT.
The PC energy calculator can be used which supports the calculation of the electricity consumed by the PC throughout the year at On-mode, Standby-mode and Off-mode. Knowing about the energy consumption with the help of the calculator we can implement the methods which support the less energy consumption.
